Home Watch Lagos was founded by Jules and Henrique, bringing together international five-star hospitality experience, local knowledge and property management expertise to provide exceptional care for homeowners in Lagos and the surrounding areas.
Jules
Jules has proudly called Lagos home since 2021, after relocating from Maui, Hawaii. Her career has been built around exceptional service and attention to detail, most recently more than 10 years as a Lobby Concierge at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua. Before that, she owned and operated a full-service event planning and management company in Lake Oswego, Oregon, for more than 20 years.
Henrique
Henrique was born and raised here locally, and has a background in property management and translation services. With Portuguese roots, local expertise, and a genuine understanding of the challenges international homeowners face, co-founder Henrique helps bridge the gap between languages, cultures and everyday life here in Lagos and the surrounding areas.
Who looks after your home when you're away?
Living in Lagos and getting to know so many homeowners in the community, we kept hearing the same concern.
Nearly half of all homes in the Lagos municipality are second homes or empty, and in Luz more than half are second homes.*
Yet many owners spend weeks or months away from Portugal, leaving one of their most valuable assets unattended.
We saw an opportunity to offer something different: a professional, personal and highly responsive home watch service, built around trust, discretion and exceptional attention to detail.
In 2025, Home Watch Lagos was born.
Today, we give homeowners the reassurance that while they're away, someone is looking after their home as if it was our own.

Home Watch Lagos is independently operated and carries business liability insurance for your added peace of mind. Official Portuguese tax receipts (recibos verdes) are provided for all services, with client references upon request.
A little more about us.
When we’re not looking after our clients’ homes and fur babies, you’ll often find us on the pickleball courts at the Lagos Tenis Center or Burgau Sports Center. Home Watch Lagos is proud to sponsor the local pickleball league, “The Burgau Mafia,” and we love competing in the monthly tournaments alongside teams from across the Algarve!
Living in this beautiful part of Portugal also gives us plenty of reasons to explore. On our days off, we love discovering the beaches, villages and towns along the Southern Coast. When time allows, a day trip may turn into a week-long adventure, usually involving some wine tasting, hiking, swimming in waterfalls, discovering somewhere new and simply enjoying everything this part of the world has to offer.
We absolutely love to dance together and go to the various Portuguese dance balls and festivals held around the Algarve. We also love to chase sunsets. They’re two of our favorite things to do together!
Henrique’s other passion is football, and he proudly plays on the Veterans of C.F. Esperança de Lagos, representing the community he calls home.
Most of all, we love spending time with family and friends. A long, leisurely afternoon around the table, sharing traditional Portuguese dishes, a glass of wine and plenty of conversation, is pretty close to our idea of a perfect day!
We’re incredibly grateful for the friendships and community we’ve built here in Lagos. It’s not simply where we work, it’s our home!
